Production Blog 6 Good evening blog, got plenty to update you on. So this time, everything was officially done. This means all clips were filmed and put together in the end. It turned out very nice in my opinion. However… it’s only because of my amazing acting skills;). It was hard in the beginning to get everyone to want to start filming. We were all just sitting around doing nothing, and then Sarah put her foot down when she was on a time crunch. She needed to be back home soon, and we couldn’t delay her any longer. We got up and started quickly but smoothly getting our shots. I’m glad that happened because it brought more of a drive to get it done for us. Also with the fact that she’s leaving for New York, it was a now or never situation. If there was no filming done today, it would’ve been too late to get it done after she came back. It’s quite a long period of time. Just about 5 days of her being gone, especially on the long weekend which made it inconvenient. It’s alright though

Hey blog. My groupmates and I started filming on the 22nd of march. Upon arrival, I was greeted by Sarah, Luke and Elton. She took me up to the party room where we would be filming. There in the party room, we sat and waited for Thandi to show up. While we were sitting me and Sarah set up the party room to get ready for filming. Thandi showed up an hour and 30 mins late. Upon arrival it was 6:30 when we started filming. We film the opening shot of an outside view of the building. This establishing shot was meant to give a visual of the setting for the opening credits. The next shot we filmed was a High angle shot of us walking through the building corridor. The next shot we filmed was a shot of us walking into the elevator. This was the last shot we filmed for the day. We decided that we would continue to film the following Wednesday. We then just sketched out our next shot for the following week. We will film the shot of the elevator opening and us being there on Wednesday to start. W

 Hello blog! Our group has finally picked the date to film. We are going to film March 23rd. Lately, we have been talking about what we will be wearing during shooting. We were thinking that because the beginning of the film is based in a casual setting, the characters are going to be wearing casual clothing.We decided it wouldn't be just any casual clothing tho. Due to the age of the characters in the movie being in their teens, we want the characters to be wearing clothing that would be related to the ages of 16-18. We feel that the clothing of our characters will add a "coming to age" theme to our film as we will not be wearing clothing associated with adults. I have two different shirts that I would like to wear, but I am not sure which one I will wear. I am on the fence between a White Vans shirt and a Thrasher black tee. I will wear shorts for the shoot as well with sneakers. We also decided about the music we will be using for the film. We will be using Lovefool by

 Hello blog! In my last blog, I talked about our plans to film our project on Sunday, the 12th. However, things did not go as planed. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to come up with a new plan, and after some discussion, we agreed to push back our filming date to the 22nd. We did not want to have to do this but it is always good to be flexible when working with a group. Despite the change of plans, we are still all excited to get to back to work on this project. We've made some progress in terms of roles and casting since my last blog post. Like I talked about a couple days ago, we had to say goodbye to Mallory due to scheduling conflicts, but we are thrilled to welcome Thandi to our group. We believe that Thandi will bring her own unique personality and talents to the project. One thing that we are still unsure about is the music that we will use for our film. We wanted to know what music we would be using before filming but we will just have to figure it out the day of fi

 Hello blog! In the past 48 hours there has been some big changes to our filming journey. Yesterday my group and I had our meeting. It was a very productive meeting. One of the biggest topics we had during the meeting was that of our actress, Mallory. She will no longer be an actress in our video. This is due to personal and schedule problems. After we concluded that Mallory was not going to be in our video we needed another actress. We chose to have our friend Thandi as the new actress. We think she would do a great job in the role due to her comfortableness in front of a camera. The group also found a guaranteed spot to film and day to film. For our filming location we will film in Sarah's building. There is an elevator for filming. There is also a party room that never gets used, where we could film. The last main topic we discussed at the meeting was a set day to film. We all decided that the weekend of the 18th and 19th is the best time to film. Overall, I think the meeting wa

 Hello blog! During the past few days my group and I have completed several planning blogs. We have our script wrote. A member of our group, Luke has also just completed our story board. Our original filming date was March 8th but due to some scheduling issues we have pushed filming back. One of the reasons we could not film was because one of our actresses, Mallory, has been on a family vacation. She will be gone for the next week. Also, I have been a little under the weather the past few days and I am an actor. The last reason for pushing back the filming day was the fact that not all of us could come to the filming location on the 8th. This weekend (March 11th & 12th) is also unavailable for filming. This is due to our group member Elton having a wrestling tournament. We have made a plan to have a meeting tomorrow on the 7th. At the meeting everyone will put their input on when they would like to film. I think the weekend of March 18th will be the best time to film. Another topi

First Scene- Establishing shot, which is a medium-long shot of four friends walking towards the entrance of the building, conversating and appearing joyful.   Second Scene- The group finally interlocked together for a group hug. We filmed this with a close-up shot followed by a zoom-out to medium distance during their conversation.   Third Scene- This scene was filmed with a tracking shot from the front of the four friends walking and talking making their way to the entertainment/party room of the building.   Fourth Scene- The group is now seated at the large table in the party room, catching up on their lives, when suddenly the camera action cuts to a close-up of Elton grabbing Mallory's hand, to imply unstated emotion.   Fifth Scene- This scene begins with a two-shot of Elton and Mallory after the action cut, Elton is opening up about his deep feelings, and the scene cuts.    Sixth Scene- This scene is filmed by a medium close-up at an eye-level angle to emphasize Mallory's
