Introducing myself

  My name is Brayden Parke and I can truly say that I am extremely excited not only to learn about music videos and film but to be able to create a whole video purely based on music. Now that my group and I have had some experience in film making from the first project I am intrigued to see our progress in creating media. Over the past couple months I have made a habit of watching at least one film every day. Up to now I have watched about 150 different films, anything from (Kids) to (Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas). I believe that watching an abundance of films has expanded my knowledge and understanding of different perceptions of ideas. I have also been trying to expand my knowledge of music by listening to genres I normally would not listen to. Apart from my love of film and music I will go over other things I indulge in. I love the sport of soccer. I try to play at least once or twice a week and love to watch the Champions League. I also enjoy photography and creating special shots. Another huge component of my life is skateboarding. Skateboarding has had lasting impacts on me. Everything from they way I dress, the music I listen to, the movies I enjoy, and my dedication to school has been in some way effected and improved through skateboarding. Having a set activity that is able to completely clear my head is an effective tool that I use from skateboarding. No matter how bad of a day I had or how much work I have to do I can always jump on a board and be in a good mood. This year I made it my goal to find a job and get hired. I needed a way to continuously work my mind. While working at a restaurant I improved my social skills by talking to guests and staff. I also learned the importance of time management and how to plan ahead. I believe that the activities I indulge in and my past experience in creating a commercial with my group will guide me through filming and editing a music video.

Our Pitch

Hello, t he following are pitches my friends and I have come up with for the upcoming short film we are making in which I will be the lead actor.   Pitch A: "A high school girl goes to get snacks at a corner store to get some snacks, but who's watching?" Pitch B: "A professional soccer player joins a new team, but the coach is nothing like he expected."
